Use Delete Row by ID to delete one Data Table row using its stable ID and current version.
Step Library: Data Tables
When to use this step
Use this step when you want to:
- remove one previously identified row;
- prevent deletion when that row changed after it was read.
Use Update Row by ID when the row must remain available.
Before you begin
You must be Table Owner or Table User for the selected table when you configure and publish the workflow. Obtain the current Row ID and Row Version.
Configure the step
- Add Delete Row by ID from Data Tables.
- Select a Table.
- Enter Row ID.
- Enter Row Version.
- Save or publish the workflow.
Settings

| Row ID | Yes | Text or Text variable | Table is selected | Stable ID of the single row to delete. |
| Row Version | Yes | Positive whole Number or Number variable | Table is selected | Expected current version; prevents deleting a row that changed after it was read. |
Data and outputs
Workflow variable effects
This step does not modify workflow variables.
Step outputs
| Step output | Type | Available when | Scope | Description |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Row ID | Text | After success | Following steps in the current branch | ID of the deleted row. |
| Result Status | Text | After success | Following steps in the current branch |
deleted. |
Runtime behavior
Execution and completion
Flowifier validates the published workflow authorization and asks the central Data Table service to delete the exact Table ID, Row ID and Row Version. The same transaction releases row counters and any Data Table File references. The step completes only when the deletion commits.
Branches and child steps
This step does not have branches or child steps.
Failure, retry and resume behavior
This step does not suspend execution or perform automatic retries. Deletion is not retried automatically because a retry after an uncertain result could hide whether the original row existed.
Errors and limits
| Situation | Result | Resolution |
|---|---|---|
| The row does not exist | The step fails and exposes no outputs | Verify the Row ID and table. |
| Row Version is stale | The step fails without deleting the row | Query the row again and use its current version. |
| The table is unavailable | The step fails | Restore the table or update and republish the workflow. |
| The author loses Table Owner/Table User before republishing | The changed workflow cannot be saved or published | Restore one of the required roles. An already published version remains authorized. |
Example

Goal: Delete a temporary row returned by Query Rows.
Configuration:
-
Table:
Temporary Requests - Row ID: queried Row ID
- Row Version: queried Row > Version
